ARC-LocateTM provides a level of much–needed resilience for operations such as long linear surveys, railway track surveillance or power line inspections, where it is paramount that the UAS does not stray beyond the physical or regulated boundaries.
One of the key aspects of the ARC-LocateTM radar system is that it is not reliant on visual navigation methods or GNSS, and therefore is able to operate in adverse weather conditions where visibility is poor, such as fog or mist. The radar system is ideally suited where satellite navigation systems are temporarily unavailable, occluded by buildings, or have been actively blocked.
ARC-LocateTM also supports covert military operations where an operational forward position can be autonomously located, either for logistics re-supply or personnel ‘extraction’.
