Safe Landing Zone Validation

Ultralight Radar for UAV Safe Landing Zone Validation

Sensoriis’ ARCTM system is now proven to support precision landing and tethering with static and moving platforms, including vessels at sea.

However, it is not always practical to deploy ground based support beacons, due to unplanned or ad-hoc landings, or hostile military environments.

To mitigate the associated dangers in these scenarios, Sensoriis has developed an innovative new radar to identify obstacles during the descent and landing phase and validate a Safe Landing Zone (SLZ).

Our SLZ takes advantage of radar’s ability to function over extended range, in adverse weather and light conditions, and in GNSS-denied environments, to provide additional performance and resilience over other landing systems.

Object ‘tracks’ and relative heights and location are passed via an API back to the host flight controller to then effect avoiding manoeuvres, if required.
